Fitness 1st

According to a report in 2011, Malaysia has the highest obesity rate in Southeast Asia and ranks sixth in Asia-Pacific region.

While round has yet to be considered as a healthy figure, Malaysians shouldn't be proud of this gruesome finding.

As part of social responsibility to the community,  for the coming meeting,
Gurney-Toastmaster Club has decided to come up
    with a theme like this.

Whether you are looking for ways to improve your
staminashed off pounds from your body or
add some healthy curves on your torso,
this meeting will absolutely tap into your need.

To make this meeting a success, Jeff Chan
   a GHTC's home-grown speaker and a fitness
instructor has been invited to be the
        Toastmaster of the evening.

Jeff, a kind and helpful person won't mind to have a few Jeff-and-you sessions with you for free if you are interested.

The event also features young and talented lad,
Dennis who wants to share with all
his aspirations and insight about fitness.

To achieve good level of fitness and communication skills, one's determination can't be compromised any less and both entail long-term effort.

Communication skills is a profound knowledge
that you can hardly gauge its depth even with your
     lifetime
                            while

fitness is a tool that adds years to your life,
enabling you to continue pursuing the wisdom.

Short-term motivation won't make you any similar
to the chic poser in the poster
neither  make you a confident speaker like the
          candidates in those election campaigns.

While there is always a saying like this, you can't have the best of both worlds', the coming meeting is truly a perfect exception.

To achieve these noble goals of life,
come and experience how the heavyweights of
the club can help you stretch beyond your limit.

Let's SOAR

When we came across the word 'SOAR', we instinctively relate it to the almighty eagle, picturing the eagle dashing and spinning wild on the sky.

Indeed, eagles soaring high on the air is truly a sight to behold. Their grace and pace breathes life to the word 'SOAR'.

After experiencing the toil and moil of life, we often have a thought like this..
' How good if I'm a carefree bird (eagle in this
case). Just spread my wings and soar high at my
will, flying like no one else's business..'

In a desperate bid to actualize the imagination,
you buy yourself some artificial feathers and a
      tube of super glue,
make yourself a cone hat as your beak to reduce
      the air resistance while flying.

Ready, 1, 2 ,3 and  you flap your hands wings as hard and as fast as you can.

This is either Lady Gaga’s next bizarre outfit or your own unique way of soaring.

While it is commendable you apply physics in it,
chances are you are going to have soar sore muscles
and you still stay on the ground.

Well, you finally succumb to the reality and ask whether there is a more proper and more human way for us to soar?

Fortunately, there is. As how our Toastma
ster veteran, K.C.Chee puts it,

S stands for serve (sincerely and wholeheartedly)

O stands for optimistic (even the sky falls)
A stands for appreciative (everyday is Thanksgiving Day)

R stands for resilience  ( bounce back like a bouncy basketball)

This is a much better formula and it is up to you of how to apply it in you own course of soaring.

Prior to that, for sure there must be moments you feel like soaring. Sharing those moments with GHTC is never a thing to be coy about.

Seeing this meeting is going to be a great sharing, do drop by this time and get your own spark of motivation to kick-start the SOAR formula.
